Wilson’s Miramichi Spring season report for May 3rd. Sixth generation Salmon fishing guide Karl Wilson is all smiles after a record breaking week with third generation salmon angler Nick Purdy. Nick’s Dad Craig ( center front row) fished here with his Dad Truman Purdy nearly forty years ago and is reporting that 2017 was his best fishing ever. The water was high all week but clear, with large salmon to grilse ratio nearly 70%. Wilson’s Miramichi report for April 27th.After heavy rain last night and warm temps the river is high and dirty this morning.Too dirty for good fishing but we expect things to improve quickly as the dirt clears up. The water will remain high for a few days but it should not hurt the fishing.

Wilson’s Atlantic salmon fishing report for the upper Miramichi on April 20 brings you snow , but also fantastic fishing. Due to cold air temps,heavy snow pack in the woods and a lot of shore ice the water remains cold and clear. To date we have had near record catch rates.

Wilson’s Miramichi Ice-run report for April 12 shows most of the ice has left the system. The water is high and dirty which is what we need to clean off the shores and back channels. Cooler temps are forecast which will help clear the water and setting the stage for a great opening day of Salmon fishing on April 15th.

10.11.16. /></a> Wilson’s Miramichi River Report for October 14th. We are wrapping up the 2016 season with perfect weather, low water and average fishing. J. Merritt is happy as he displays his beautiful fall salmon hked on his last day of fishing. I fished the Cains River on the 13th of October with good results as well, one 16 pound hook bill and a feisty 6 pound grilse. </p>

Wilson’s Miramichi Report For October 7th. The water remains low and clear but the warmer temps are keeping the fish fairly active and anglers smiling, especially Matt Ramsay after landing this 20 pound hen salmon this morning.
