Wilson’s Miramichi Report Sept 5th

[singlepic=864,520,390]
Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee for September 5th .As you can see the river only came up slightly last night. A big rain landed in southern New Brunswick but just 6ml at the Clearwater Brook station upstream from us . This is not all bad though , the water is cool and there are fresh fish on the move in the lower parts of the river . We had one angler on the water last night and had great fishing , 2 salmon and 2 grilse . They were older summer fish but still some great action . Everything points toward a good fall shaping up .

    Hi Keith, came back home this afternoon, from my trailer at Hennessy’s. I had noticed that the river had a nice rise through the night, more then we had from Wednesday. So thats encouraging, and with a nice change of more rain early next week. I did watch the river for sometime this morning, for signs of fish moving through, rolling, or even a jump, but didn’t see anything. I believe a nice rise of water will bring a good number of fish into the system. I do look forward to a Lovely fall in the woods and the RIVER.
    Take care and always, look forward to updates on your site, you do a Valuable service to all of us Fisherperson’s. Thank you, Bob
