Wilson’s Miramichi River Report For June 16th

Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee for June 16th . The river is still high and cold so fish are moving through quickly . It appears from most reports that there are more salmon and grilse than usual for early June . Most of our trout fishermen wrapped up here on the weekend with slow fishing for the most part but that was due mostly to the high water . Our “summer salmon season” kicks in gear today with high expectations . Most locals are having decent fishing so if this good water and cool temps stick around we should have a good start as well . The boys is Blackville have been into a good run for a while now .
