The river is in great shape as we enter the early fall period . The last raise of water ( Aug31 ) has stayed with us and fresh fish began to come in . Reports from down river are most encouraging , especially Shawn Betts landing a huge 49 inch hen salmon just two days ago . Our biggest salmon two years ago was a 32 pounder taken on Sept 10th , so anytime from now on out you can expect to be over some very large fish . We are due for one more day of very hot weather then a cold front and rain is coming . Some of the local die- hard anglers are picking up a few fish on small 10’s with long leaders . EJ and guest landed a nice grilse yesterday at Big Murphy on a small Undertaker .
