As expected our summer salmon season kicks off in true Miramichi style. The water is at an ideal height under cool and cloudy skies this Monday morning . The weekend fishing was fantastic with three large salmon between 14 and 18 pounds taken on Friday and Saturday. Sunday brought sunny skies and a bit warmer temps resulting in the fish slowing down for a rest during the mid day period, but as the sun dipped in the evening both grilse and salmon were once again active. Our long range weather forecast for the week is near perfect promising good fishing.
