EJ and I headed to Dudley pool this morning on yet another 2 inch raise in the river and cloudy skies with rain nearby . My first pass through the pool I hooked and landed a nice grilse , EJ gets half way through and nails this beautiful 15 pound hen . The fish was rested and full of energy , jumped several times and ran into the backing . In four hours of fishing I landed another 4 grilse , lost another and EJ with the big salmon . I scouted the pools further down river and saw several fish jumping in areas that indicate moving fish . I hope this is a sign for what is coming next week . My four fish were all taken on a Green Machine w/white calf tail .
