Myself and three friends hit the Cains this past weekend with hopes of hooking up at least one trophy size sea-run brook trout , and we were not dissapointed . The water conditions are near perfect and the run is “on the move” . Our traditional approach did work but when we realized what was going on our tactics changed and did we ever hit it big . During two three hour shifts three rods hooked and landed a total of 40 trout , rangeing from 14- 23 inches ( 1.5 to 6 pounds ) . It looks like another record year for the Cains .
