Fishing for Cains River Sea-run brook trout from a 28 foot jet canoe is a pleasure only enjoyed now and then. The water was high all week(June 8-13) giving us access to miles and miles of the river in search of the big sea-run trout . Unfortunately we were only able to find two trout in five days of fishing three rods . The boat tour was great but the fishing was disturbingly poor . There are reports of striped bass actually following trout up into the Cains several miles last week , our readers would love to hear if this is a fact or not .
