This week of cool temps is just what we need to keep the salmon holding in the pools . The water height is ideal with plenty of snow still in the headwaters so our fish will hold till the river begins warming up . The fishing is fantastic , everyone along the river , from top to bottom is talking about the good fishing . Large salmon numbers are better than we expected as well , many fish are being landed in the 34 -38 inch range . Randy Hartlen landed this 38 inch beautie . Anglers hitting the Miramichi this week are in for a real treat . Bring rain gear and plenty of warm clothes .
