If you were to ask me to write a presription for the Miramichi to get the perfect rain at the perfect time then I could not have got it more right . We have had cool temps for nearly a week and several days of rain off and on . The river is up this morning app 8 inches and there are fish working their way into the system . As of two days ago we were seeing just a few fish scattered along so hopes are high that this water will bring in more fish . The mid June run does not appear that great so far but our main “Summer Run of Grilse ” normally shows up early to mid July so with the river in perfect shape and cool temps forecast for all this coming week we are all set for our big grilse run .
