Once again the river is up nearly 14 inches and the weather has cooled down. EJ and I were at Cold Water pool early Sunday morning to see the river still normal height and the pool quite . Within the hour salmon began to jumping all over and it appeared they were moving out of the pool . We could not figure out why until two hours later when I was back to the pool to discover the river coming up fast , obviously the fish were sensing a change in the river that we could not see earlier . Two of my friends fished the pool till noon with no luck , the water was dirty by then and as usual when we get a rise after a hot weather period the river is flowing over the hot beach gravel which results in the temperature climbing . It is now twenty four hours later and the water temps are down into the mid sixties and water dropping slowly .
