Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee for July 27th . The water is still low and warming up by evening but the mornings are good . Chet and JC fished the last four days with good results . Chet was into fish on every shift and JC managed to land his first Atlantic salmon . More importantly JC learned a few valuable lessons about bomber fishing from expert Miramichi guide Joe Stewart . Wilson’s is taking measures to reduce angling pressure on the pools as well as other techniques to minimize harm to the fish that are being handled . We urge anglers who may be on the water this weekend to use very light weight tippet , barbless hooks and please minimize handling the fish by releasing it in the water .
