New for 2008 we are hosting a one week Spey Casting – Atlantic Salmon Fishing School . Professional quality Spey casting instruction with expert guided salmon fishing during one of the best weeks for early summer- run Atlantic salmon . The school’s group and individual instruction will benefit both novice and experienced casters . Beginners welcomed !
Spey casting instruction is headed by Pete Humphrey’s who is FFF certified Two handed casting instructor . Maximum student/ instructor ratio is 3:1 . Salmon fishing is on our 16 private pools with help and instruction of our expert. experienced guides .

School Schedule
* June 22 – Arrival , settle in and an introductory presentation on casting in the evening.
* June 23 & 24 – AM group and individual spey casting instruction on the river
PM Guided salmon fishing with your spey casting approach
* June 25-28 Guided salmon fishing with group or individual casting instruction during the afternoon break .
* June 29 – Departure
The first mornings instruction will cover the Double Spey and Circle Spey cast from both right and left bank . These 2 casts will prepare you to fish the second evening in camp . The next morning will cover the Single Spey and the Snake Roll cast with introduction to shooting heads . Time is available during the afternoon break period for group or individual instruction as student’s desire .
This is a tremendous opportunity for those new to Spey casting or the expert angler with a desire for professional instruction to learn something new while fishing the world class Miramichi River . Enjoy 4 Star accomodations and meals at the historic Wilson’s Sporting Camps . The week is designed to make you a better spey caster and most importantly a better angler .
The cost of the 6 day/ 7 night school is $3990.00C , which includes instruction, lodging , meals and guided fishing ( 2 anglers per guide ) . Additional expenses include angling license at $94.30 , gratuities at app. $50.00 per day and any bar items .
Participants will need to provide their own equipment . Wilson’s is an Orvis Endorsed Lodge and offers all students a generous discount on Orvis outfits .

| Pete Humphreys, originally from England, now resides in Grand Rapids Michigan. He has swung flies for Atlantics in Scotland and Norway and fished Steelhead in British Columbia. Pete is a Certified Instructor through the Federation of Fly Fishers in both Single and Two Handed Casting. He is a licensed river guide, accomplished tyer and a member of the Guideline Power Team. When time permits he is also a mortgage banker. |

| Doug Hintzman lives in Okemos Michigan and has fished in Quebec as well as New Brunswick. He is an FFF Certified Instructor and licensed river guide. Doug has published several articles on fishing, fly tying and shooting. Between outings he is a plastic surgeon. |
