It is with great sadness that we share this with you all
Obituary information for Terry Frederick Stone
Terry spent decades with us at Wilson’s Sporting Camps and became much more than a guide—he became family. Before joining us full-time on the Miramichi, Terry spent over 30 years guiding sheep hunters in British Columbia, building a lifetime of stories, knowledge, and experience in the outdoors he loved so much.
Terry was a quiet man, humble and kind, the kind of person who never sought attention but earned everyone’s respect. He cared deeply about his family, loved the river, and had a way of making those around him better simply by being himself.
We’re still struggling to come to terms with his sudden passing. His absence will be felt deeply by his family, his friends, and all of us here at Wilson’s. But his legacy will live on—in the stories shared around campfires, in the lessons he passed along, and in every sunrise on the river.
One of the greatest lessons Terry taught me was to slow down and listen. Listen to the river. Listen to the trees. Listen to the wildlife. Listen to people. There is a lot to learn when you sit quietly and pay attention.
Rest easy, Terry. Thank you for your friendship, your wisdom, and the countless memories. You will never be forgotten. ❤️🎣🏞️
Rest easy
Karl, Keith and the whole Wilson’s Camps Family
