The weather is cool resulting in both the Miramichi and Cains water conditions being near perfect . A good rain last week brought the river up app. 12 inches and it is holding well . Most sea-run trout have passed by the McNamee area by now but the early run of Atlantic Salmon are showing up in the lower parts of the river in decent numbers . Joe rolled a nice salmon at Dudley Pool Sunday morning but to no avail , still a real thrill seeing your first bright salmon of the season . With the perfect water conditions we can expect our fishing to pick up over the next week .
