It has been a long winter so with having the fishn’ bug so bad Cleve and I decided to head to open water on the upper Cains for a cast or two . The water there too is low for April but we did find open water and a place to lay out a cast or two . Fishing from the Arctic Cat is not as enjoyable as from my big canoe but it got the job done . The Miramichi is opening up but we still need some warm weather and a little rain to get the ice cleared out .
