The river this week is still app. 8 inches above normal, and that is “GOOD NEWS ” for Wilson’s. Unlike the lower stretch of the Miramichi , our pools at McNamee are doing very well. Wilson’s has an advantage over most down river camps by owning nearly five miles of frontage ( 16 private pools ) with a number of pools that do best in high water . And of course our expert guides can make or break you trip under any condition. Fish are still pooled up in holding water and we are getting into them best during the morning shift. Even with the cool and higher than normal water the Bomber seems to be still working. It appears that there are a few fresh run grilse still coming in on this great water. We have several openings for August remaining and anglers can take advantage of our discounted August rates.
