Wilson’s 2015 Cast & Blast report for Oct 11. The water on both the Cains and Miramichi remains slightly above normal. We are having excellent fishing on the Miramichi with many MSW salmon in the twenty pound range. It is still slow fishing on the upper Cains as of yesterday but that will change soon as the fall migration picks up steam. Upland hunting has been slow so far. We still have too many leaves and with the dry summer it seems that most of the birds are hunkering down in the heavy alder cover . We have rain and wind coming later today and Monday so the leaves will drop quickly and feed will become more plentiful in the easier covers .
