Wilson’s Miramichi River Big Water Report for May 26th shows the river up nearly 4 feet this morning after a week of rain . This may not be so great for vacationers looking for that quite canoe trip down the river this weekend but it could not come at a better time as Atlantic salmon and sea-run brook trout begin their early migration into our rivers . We can only hope that this rainy cold weather continues throughout the 2013 summer . One thing we can all agree on is that we dread the thought of a repeat of the 2012 drought .
