Atlantic salmon fly-fishing and river conditions for the Miramichi as of July 7th are not good after four days of high heat . The water height is still perfect but the warm water is taking its toll on angling during regular hours . We are fishing from sun-up till 10 am and again for an hour or so just before dark . It is important to gice the fish as much of a break as possible so we are using very light leaders to ensure a quick break-off . On the bright side the weather is forecast to cool off and even a little rain over the next several days so we expect back to great fishing again with these fresh run July salmon .
