Wilson’s Miramichi River Report for May 16th . Things are quite in the McNamee area this week but river and weather conditions are near perfect as we approach early summer fishing . We are picking up a good number of dark trout in the river and brooks so it is the perfect time to get out on your ATV and explore the back roads and hundreds of wild brooks in New Brunswick . Still no sign of the big sea-run brook trout yet but it is still a little early . Anglers are anxiously waiting for the Rocky Brook salmon to show up too . Our boats are being tuned and chores are getting wrapped up in anticipation of a busy June and July . Best fly for trout this week is small streamers and bugs .
