Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee for September 10th . The water is still about 12 inches above normal but the color is good . We are having good fishing , actually better than one would expect for this height of water . We are having the most success with fall patterns . Bob S. hooked a nice salmon last evening on a small black nymph , which reminded me of the day several years ago when I was fishing Big Murphy with a floating line and green machine over a bunch of rolling salmon , I switched to a full sink line and dark brown buck bug and on four casts hooked and landed four salmon . I guess it does not hurt to try something radical once in a while . Cains is still up good so with any luck we should have a good late fall in there .
