Atlantic salmon and Sea-run brook trout fishing report for the Miramichi River at McNamee for May 21st . The water is holding at the perfect height and temps are still average . Myles and Mindy are trying Big Murphy pool for a chance at the big sea-run brook trout this morning but no takers yet . There are reports of big trout in the estuary but we have seen nothing here to date . Many anglers claim the big boys come through here anytime from now till the first of June and the most successful approach is to get on the water an hour or so every morning and evening so you can head them off on their way through . It seems that both the “rocky brook salmon ” and the big sea-run brook trout don’t seem to hold up so you have to put your time in in order to get into them . One thing for sure is that when you do hit either run it is the best of the best .
