Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee July 11th . The water is slowly getting back to normal in height and good temps are holding . The air temperature is getting up into the high 20’s but with all the water we have in the brooks and small feeder streams I don’t think we have to worry about the river warming up too much just yet . There is light rain forecast for the 12 and 13th which is perfect . We are seeing and hooking into more fish on almost every shift out now . Don H landed a nice 18 pound hen two days ago , which is how he finished up his last trip with us , he and Bill W. landed three big salmon in one day . Word from the local boy’s is much the same , a good number of grilse and the occasional 14 – 18 pounder . Black bugs and green machines are the favorite for now .
