Wilson’s Miramichi River report for May 7th shows the river in ideal condition . The water is still a good height and with the five day rain on its way we should be setting up nicely for the arrival of the sea-run brook trout and rocky brook salmon . The local boys are still seeing plenty of spring salmon jumping so we can expect a salmon or two on the line for another week or more . Sink tip lines and smaller flys are in order . This is also the perfect time to get a few black trout for the table .
