Atlantic salmon fly-fishing conditions for the Miramichi River at McNamee for June 3rd . The river is at the perfect height and cool temps are holding . We are seeing a few more salmon but still very spotty in McNamee . One guest got into a couple of nice 20 inch sea-run brook trout last night at the Landing Pool and since that was the purpose of his trip then he was happy . Joe tried several fly patterns but finally had to resort to the white tailed green machine before anything would happen . My version of the same has not worked yet , seems to stay up too high for the heavier water we are in at present . My new fly for this weekend is an olive colored wholly bugger with a white buck tail instead of the olive tail , going lite on the hackle . Just received word that there was good sea-run trout fishing near the mouth of the Cains on Monday , so we should be seeing them in the headwaters soon.
