Fly-fishing conditions and other general information at Wilson’s on the Miramichi River . As expected , the water conditions are near perfect , dropping slowly and clear & cold . The cold temps do not help with the native brook trout fishing but this is normal for the period . We are doing well on the trout during evening hours after a warm day though . The river is in superb form as we draw near to the ‘Rocky Brook ” salmon run and of course the big sea-run brook trout too . For the died-hard angler who wishes to hit the rocky brook run you best be planning to spend time on the water everyday for the next three weeks . Believe me the reward is worth the effort when these fresh-run Atlantics take the fly .
