C.D. Clarke with a fresh run fall salmon just before the rain . The water came up app. 12 inches and it turned bitterly cold with strong wind but some anglers still had good fishing yesterday and today . Unfortunately the upper Cains only got a little bump of water so it is still too low to canoe . We had one rod in the Leighton area yesterday with not a touch . Reports from Shinnickburn was good fishing yesterday but I am sure a little more water would improve that area too . The weather forecast is for ideal sunny and warm conditions for the next week so it looks like we will wrap up 2011 in the sunshine and plenty of fish in the pools .
