Lower Justies Pool

Lower Justies is a very private one rod pool, but could be shared by two anglers. The pool is approximately one hundred feet long and is adjacent to the Maple Island and Home Pools making it a handy pool to pass through while fishing the other pools previously mentioned. Wilson’s has ownership of both sides.

Little Murphy Pool

Historically Little Murphy has been one of Wilson ‘s top three producers. Throughout the sixties and seventies the pool was famous for its ability to hold the July run of Atlantic salmon.
Over the years, the pool has shifted from the south to the north side of the river. This pool fishes only in higher water. Total frontage is about 1,200 feet.

Big Murphy Pool

Big Murphy, which is the largest pool, produces well in all water conditions in both the summer and the fall seasons. The water is a wide fast moving riffle flowing into a deep slow moving pool.
The middle of the pool consists of several large rocks and there is a medium flow of water. Under normal conditions this pool easily fishes two rods, but four rods could be accommodated. Total water frontage is app. 2,500 feet. Privacy in the pool is guaranteed with Wilson ‘s owning both sides of the river here. Big Murphy Pool is now considered the “Home Pool ” . This is where the new Wilson Lodge and three cabins ( Murphy Camp, Little Murphy Camp & Schiffman Camp ) are located .

E.J. Run Pool

E J Run is a fast moving riffle flowing off a gravel bar. The pool, which is normally worked when the fish are moving, fishes two rods.
Total water frontage here is app. 400 feet. Wilson ‘s has ownership of one side which again includes the only productful portion of the pool .

Dudley Channel Pool

Dudley Channel is one of those narrow deep runs that are excellent for two rods to share. The salmon lie in here tight to the edge of a bar.
The pool is serviced by a spring fed Bogan so both salmon and trout hold here in the hot weather. Privacy is also enjoyed here through ownership of both shorelines. Total water frontage at the Dudley Pool is app. 2,300 feet.

Dudley Pool

This pool consists of the Upper Dudley Pool and the Dudley Channel.
Upper Dudley is a very beautiful pool that has been one of the top producers in both the summer and fall. The run flows off an angular bar in the river that forces the fish up the middle of the pool over various holding rocks and pockets.
The tail of the pool is very deep and receives a flow of cold water from the Dudley Bogan. During the fall this has become an excellent holding pool. This section of the pool easily fishes two rods and four rods could be accommodated for those groups wishing to fish together.

Hovey’s Front Pool

Hovey’s Front is a fast narrow run flowing into a deep slow bend in the river. The pool fishes well in both the summer and the fall. It normally fishes two rods in the summer and up to four rods in the fall.
Privacy is enjoyed here through ownership of both shorelines. Total water frontage at this pool is app. 2,200 feet.

Walter Murphy Front Pool

The Walter Murphy Front, which consists of app. 2,000 feet of frontage, is worked best during the spring salmon angling season when it is a good producer.
Walter Murphy Front is also fishable by one to two rods in the summer and fall. Wilson ‘s has ownership of the entire pool which is on one side of the river.

Duff Pool

Duff Pool is one of the best producing spring fishing pools in the system. This pool, which fishes two rods, also produces best in late fall when salmon are holding in its lower sections. Total water frontage at this pool is approximately 1,800 feet. Wilson’s has ownership of one side.
